All bacterial threats that are presented in water have a Health & Safety directive on how to manage them.  This is detailed under Clause L8 of the Health & Safety at Work Act.  All UK Care Homes have a specific responsibility under the Act to have conducted an initial Risk Assessment and then run further annual assessment, as to their level of exposure and to adopt control measures that qualify under the Act as relevant and effective.

Extracting trading value from these H & S requirements is a vital component in cutting costs for any Care Home business.  Rob will explain how the use of a carcinogen such as Chlorine Dioxide, storing water at 60°C+ using enormous quantities of energy and cleaning the all shower heads and taps can all be removed as everyday costs, and still leave you entirely compliant under the Act. These changes will also end the management of Legionella and replace it with the bacteria’s eradication from the premises.
